“I’m Dodo He’s Sh*t”: When Michael Jordan Roasted Scottie Pippen in Front of the Media

The Chicago Bulls dominated the 1990s and won six NBA championships during that decade. It was all made possible due to the world-class players they had at their disposal. Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen were two of those players and they formed an incredible duo and were integral to the Bulls’ success.

Jordan and Pippen had a great relationship on the court. We all were reminded of that last year while watching ‘The Last Dance’. The six-part documentary also showed how demanding Jordan was from his teammates. It was the same with Pippen.

The duo wasn’t the closest of friends outside of the court. But it never impacted their performance on the court. In fact, they were involved in some funny interviews during their professional career. On one occasion, Jordan roasted Pippen during a post-game interview.

Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen’s funny post-game interview

An old video of Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen engaged in a funny interview has resurfaced on YouTube. In the video, Jordan roasted teammate Pippen in front of the media during a post-game interview.

“Well, I got off the early start. So, if you take that away from what I was able to do tonight, I played probably just as poorly as anybody in our ball club. It was an ugly game for us. So nobody shot the ball well,” Pippen said on the game.

“We’ve already gave ourselves names in the locker room,” Pippen added.

“I’m dodo, he’s sh*t,” Jordan interjected.

“I’m about to leave after that,” Pippen replied.

The Bulls were a force to reckon with during that time. It wasn’t often that they had a torrid shooting outing in the NBA during that time. However, this post-game interview indicates that the Bulls didn’t have a great game. However, they eventually did go on to lift the championship that season.

Chicago Bulls had the kind of champion mentality that no other NBA team had during that time. This enabled their players to trash talk their opponents during the games.

In fact, they were able to take a joke upon themselves despite not being the closest of friends. Michael Jordan was one of the best trash talkers of his time. And it was interesting to see how Jordan not only took shots at his opponents but often had fun with his teammates too.
