LeBron James Can Break These Two All-Time Records This Season

Many regard LeBron James as one of the greatest athletes in the world. James is not just among the most successful athletes; he is also among the richest. Since his debut in the NBA in 2003, LeBron has been breaking record after record.

Many would think that an NBA athlete’s career goes downhill at the age of 36, but LeBron is still going strong and wants to win a few more championships before retiring.

When it comes to the playoffs, King James leads almost every other statistic. He holds the record for most career points in the playoffs with 7631 points in 266 games. LeBron also leads the field goals, free throws, steals, matches, and turnovers stats in the NBA playoffs.

However, interestingly, LeBron isn’t the leader when it comes to the all-time scoring stats. But he’s close to the top and he could close down the gap this season.

LeBron James chasing two major NBA records

James is chasing two major records that are currently held by Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. James is third in NBA’s all-time scoring list behind Kareem Abdul Jabbar (38,387) and Karl Malone (36,928).

He’s third on the all-time field goals made list as well. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (15,837) and Karl Malone (13528) are ahead of him on this list as well.

King James is now 3,020 points away from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and 1561 points away from Karl Malone. He scored 1125 points last season, despite being injured. Imagine how many can he bag this season if he remains fit throughout.

In fact, last season, he scored the lowest points in a season in his NBA career. So, there’s a good chance of him surpassing Karl Malone this season in the all-time scoring list.

James can also surpass Karl Malone this season in the all-time field goals made list. He has always managed to cross the 500 point barrier in terms of field goals made every season except for last season. Therefore, if he stays healthy this season, Karl Malone’s 13,528 field goals record is within his reach.
