Despite Anthony Davis Saying He Feels Good, Hall of Famer Reggie Miller Still Concerned About His Fitness
The Lakers last season had a torrid time to say the least. With players like LeBron James, Anthony Davis and many others suffering from injuries. With one of the shortest off-seasons ever, the injuries were understandable.
While AD suffered from an ankle injury which could have aggravated to a possible ACL injury, LBJ who hasn’t had major injuries in his career, suffered from a rather bizarre high ankle sprain which kept him out for a period of 2 months.
Ever since his trade to the Lakers, Davis has proven why LBJ wanted to team up with him in the very first place. While there is no doubting the quality he brings to the floor, his off the court issues, especially his injury history, is quite concerning.

Reggie Miller unsure about Anthony Davis’ health
The Lakers’ star-studded lineup featuring LeBron and Davis was certainly one of the favorites to dominate last season. But Davis’ initial injury meant that Bron had to take charge especially offensively, which ultimately led to his freak ankle injury.
But this was not the first time Davis has suffered from a longtime injury. In his 9 seasons in the league, AD hasn’t played a single season where he has played all the 82 games of the regular season and has hit the doctor’s table rather regularly.

Hall of Famer and Pacers’ legend Reggie Miller is certainly concerned with the same. In a recent interview with NBA insider Scoop B Robinson, the 5-time All-Star said, “Anytime Anthony Davis hits the floor; I think he’s done for a month. It just scares me.”
Davis’ health is certainly one of the biggest concerns for the Lakers for the upcoming season. While he has worked on his body and looks fit to compete, ‘the Brow’ more than often ends up suffering from an injury rather early in the season.
The addition of Russell Westbrook will certainly be a relief for the Purple and Gold. Given that Westbrook often contributes to scoring, he will surely take some load off of LeBron and Co.
If ‘Brodie’ can put up his usual stats in the regular season and Davis stays rather injury free for the post-season, the Lakers trio will be unstoppable. But will the big man be able to stay injury free? Let us know in the comments section down below.
