Massive Nintendo Switch 2 Leak Reveals Some Juicy Details About the Rumored Console

The buzz around Nintendo developing a new Switch model has been growing for quite a while. It’s a rumor, but as is the case with most rumors, it may turn out to be accurate. Moreover, to add more to this buzz, a new leak has revealed some more technical details regarding the rumored console.

Nintendo has attained a considerable amount of success with its variants of Switch consoles and might be looking to bring more Switch devices in the future.

Nintendo might be developing a new 4K Switch variant

Nintendo might be currently developing a new variant of switch that would be a 4K-capable hybrid console. Nintendo released Switch OLED earlier this month, and it seems likely they won’t stop just here. Some industry experts also noted that Switch OLED was initially intended to be the Pro model, but the plan did not work out because of the global chip shortage.

YouTuber Nate The Hate claims that this 4K model that has been distributed to game developers will supposedly be the successor to Switch, the Switch 2. This new console could release anytime soon between holidays 2022 or early 2023. This model would be powered by Nvidia’s DLSS technology, allowing games to run at 4K.

Developers have already started working on exclusive titles for the new Switch model, and these titles might also be ported to Xbox and PlayStation later.

There’s also a possibility that the new Switch and the upcoming upgrades can turn out to be an issue for the backward compatibility feature to work. Nintendo, however, will not let something like this slip through and definitely find a fix.

The company has denied statements related to future Switch models

Bloomberg has further reported that Nintendo indeed might be engaged in the development of future Switch consoles and games. However, Nintendo has denied all these statements via the following Tweet on 30th Sept 2021, as reported by International Business Times.

“A news report on Sept. 30, 2021(JST) falsely claims that Nintendo is supplying tools to drive game development for a Nintendo Switch with 4K support. To ensure correct understanding among our investors and customers, we want to clarify that this report is not true.”  The company also added to the tweet that there were no other models being developed apart from the newly released OLED Switch console.

While it still remains a mystery as to whether Nintendo will actually release a new Switch model, Switch fans are definitely excited after this rumor started doing rounds within the community.
