WATCH: Trea Turner Denied by Stadium in Extremely Unlucky Flyout During Atlanta Braves vs LA Dodgers NLCS
The odds weren’t in favor of the Los Angeles Dodgers last night as they lost a second consecutive game against the Atlanta Braves in NLCS. Among others, Dodgers star Trea Turner, who has been struggling in the post-season, continued his poor form even on Sunday.
The Atlanta Braves are dominating the NLCS having clean swept the first two games. In breathtaking style, the Braves clinched their victory with 5-4 last night.
Trea Turner misses out on a home run
Los Angeles Dodgers’ Trea Turner secured the batting title during the 2021 season. However, his bat seems to be having an off time in the post-season. During the NLDS matches, he went for 3-for-22 (.136 AVG) against San Francisco Giants.
Entering NLCS, he tried to make a comeback in the first game but failed to do so as the Braves triumphed over the Dodgers.
In Game 2 of NLCS, Turner made an excellent attempt, swinging his bat for a day-saving home run; however, the Braves’ home ground, Turist Park, did not seem to be in favor of the Dodgers. Unexpectedly, his ball’s speed slowed down and fell into the hands of Eddie Rosario. Notably, Eddie was the hero of the day, as he later scored the stunning walk-off for the Braves.

According to stats, if it would have been any other stadium, the fly-out would have been a home run. Safe to say, it just wasn’t his day.

Next up, Game 3
The two teams will now face each other in Game 3 of the National League Championship Series. Atlanta Braves have a huge advantage over the Dodgers with a two-game lead, while Dodgers are yet to make an opening. Notably, the clash is scheduled for Tuesday, 19th October.

If the Braves win again, they will be just one win away from clinching the NLCS. Do you think the LA Dodgers will make a comeback on Tuesday?
