Giannis Antetokounmpo Channels Kobe Bryant Before Mega Brooklyn Nets Battle on NBA Opening Night
Kobe Bryant might be one of the best to play the game of basketball during the 2000s. While his game play was simply unmatched, it was rather his attitude towards the game, which was the defining aspect. One of them is recently crowned Finals MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo.
While he did win 2-MVP trophies, the ‘Greek Freak’ hadn’t seen much success in the playoffs. Given how his performance has been in the playoffs, Giannis and the Bucks were not seen as a favorite in the East.
Despite making some big moves, many doubted whether the Bucks would succeed in the playoffs. Giannis and Co. though silenced the critics in some style as the Bucks trumped the odds-on favorite Brooklyn Nets on their way to the championship.

Giannis Antetokounmpo explains why he hasn’t watched his Finals performance
The ‘Greek Freak’ certainly stepped up in the playoffs for the Bucks. Putting up a clinic at both ends of the floor, Giannis put on a show and definitely proved why he has had so many accolades as a 26-year-old.
While his performance in the Finals was one of the best in recent history, the 2-time MVP hadn’t watched his team’s impressive display. In a recent interview, Giannis explained why he did not do the same.
“It’s in the past. We gotta move on.. learn from it and move on. I feel like obviously the result is a great result. We won the NBA championship, but like if we stay in that too long, it just makes you feel comfortable and it takes my edge away.”
“I want to be the best that I can be, I want to keep being the leader in this team, keep getting better and I want to keep playing with edge. I don’t want to be satisfied… Once you watch a lot of highlights and clips of you doing well, you can get satisfied with yourself.”
In his career so far, Giannis has been dominant, and his individual accolades have stood out. But one of the most defining traits has been his face challenges head on like Kobe and beat them.
With teams making multiple changes in the off-season, Antetokounmpo and the Bucks will have a massive challenge for the upcoming season. But given how the ‘Greek Freak’ has strived to silence his critics, betting against the Bucks might be a mistake. Can Giannis and Co. repeat this season?
