Jason Momoa has revealed just how much he suffers for his art as he opened up about the new injuries he’s sustained while filming Aquaman 2.

Appearing on Tuesday’s The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the 42-year-old actor confirmed he needed to get surgery after scratching his cornea while shooting Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

Jason stated: ‘I’m getting old, is what’s happening. I messed up my eyes. I just got something in it that kinda cut it up, and then I’ve gotta get surgery.

‘I have a hernia, I’ve got ribs out. I’m just getting beat up. But it’s going to be a great movie, you’re gonna love it.’

Ellen voiced her concern about his constant injuries as she replied: ‘That’s a rough job you’ve got there. Every movie you’re on, you’re hurting yourself.’

The former Game of Thrones actor laughed in responce: ‘I just kinda give it. I love my job and I get a little too excited. The age thing. I’m an aging superhero now.’

Jason famously plays the underwater superhero, who is also part of the Justice League with the likes of other DC Comics characters Batman and Wonder Woman.

Fans will get to seen Jason sailing back into action once again when the sequel to his 2018 blockbuster drops next year.

It also has a fishbone style utility belt, sturdy shoulder pads, knee high silver boots and even moulded abs on the torso.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is due for release in December 2022.
