STRICTLY’S Giovanni Pernice will be dancing to a romantic song about falling for someone at work with EastEnders Rose Ayling Ellis.

It comes after The Sun revealed the Strictly pro dancer and Love Island star Maura Higgins, 30, had split after four months of dating.

Giovanni, 31, and Rose will dance to Alicia Key’s emotional 2009 anthem Fallin’ on Saturday night.

The hit track tells the story of a woman who falls for someone at work.

It comes as fans have hailed the duo the ‘perfect pair’ after watching their chemistry on the flagship BBC1 show.

Gio has been learning sign language since dancing with Rose, who is Strictly’s first deaf star.

The duo have been enjoying some downtime larking about when they aren’t busy rehearsing.

He even ‘serenaded’ Rose on the piano after his shock split from Maura.

Their night of fun came after Giovanni broke up with Maura.

Their romance is said to have hit the rocks days after moving in together.

A source said: “It’s all over for now. Maura’s absolutely devastated, it appears the Strictly curse has struck again.

“Pals are hoping that they can patch things up. But only time will tell whether they’ll work things out as Giovanni is so busy.

“He’s been focusing on Strictly, training his celeb partner Rose 24/7, and they’ve become really good friends. He’s even been learning sign language from Rose, showing it off on social media.

“Maura’s decided to take a step back and let him concentrate on the show.”

A rep for Giovanni declined to comment on the split while reps for Maura did not respond.
