Racing tips: Templegate NAPS 11-4 shot at Carlisle who ran a screamer at Cheltenham last time out

TEMPLEGATE goes in search of some tasty winners from Thursday’s racing.

Read on for our man’s top tips.

QUINTA DO MAR (3.05 Carlisle, nap)

He signed off last season with a cracking fourth in a hot handicap hurdle at Cheltenham. He would have been close but for a late mistake. He returns for an in-form yard in what looks an easier race.

HARD FROST (5.05 Newton Abbot, nb)

He showed lots of promise when third on debut here in April. Paul Nicholls has made a good start to the season and daughter Megan has a 35% strike-rate for her old man.

WELL ABOVE PAR (4.15 Carlisle, treble)

He loves his trips to Cumbria and hit the target in a higher class here in March. He’s had a wind op for this comeback which will help.

Went close at Stratford five days ago.

Decent effort when third at Worcester last time out.

Hated soft ground last time and can bounce back.
