Sabrina Spellman is back in town, as the new trailer for Riverdale season 6 reveals a first look at the crossover with Kiernan Shipka’s chilling teenage witch.
Nonetheless, the half-human, half-witch is back in action in a highly-anticipated crossover event, as the supernatural worlds of Greendale and Riverdale collide.
In the trailer for the sixth season of Riverdale, Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch) explores her magical roots, after learning that one of her ancestors was burnt at the stake.
Having become the leader of a coven, at the end of the trailer, Cheryl addresses a mysterious individual, saying: ‘Look at what the black cat dragged in,’ before Sabrina turns to greet her, clad in a red cloak and her signature black headband.
While Sabrina doesn’t give away much in the trailer, it’s been said that she may offer Cheryl a lending hand as the Riverdale resident attempts a spell that could ‘mean the difference between life and death for a beloved member of the Blossom family’.

Considering Sabrina herself has supposedly crossed over into the realm of the dead at this point, she may be just the person that Cheryl needs.
How she has made her way to Riverdale, following her death in the Chilling Adventures finale, remains to be seen.
Rest assured, there’ll undoubtedly be an infinite number of theories to rifle through before the new episodes of Riverdale are released.

Elsewhere in the Riverdale trailer, Archie Andrews (KJ Apa) and Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart) have a lot on their plate, as Betty tells her boyfriend that she wants ‘nothing more’ than to have his baby.
There’s a possibility that the couple might try and bring some extra magic into the bedroom, as one clip in the teaser shows them in an intimate moment alongside a voodoo doll.

Meanwhile, the devil is also said to be present in Riverdale, as Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes) and boyfriend Reggie Mantle (Charles Melton) explore the looming threat.
Earlier this month, Mad Men star Kiernan sent fans into a frenzy when she shared a picture on Instagram of herself in costume as Sabrina on Riverdale, sitting in a chair on set.
‘From Greendale to Riverdale,’ she wrote in the caption alongside a devil emoji, confirming her character’s return.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina was cancelled by Netflix in July 2020 as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, although the character is returning with a continuation of her story in the comic books.
Riverdale premieres on The CW in the US on November 16 and is available to watch on Netflix in the UK.
