Kevin Na Injury Update: Golfer Reveals When He Will Return to the PGA Tour
With only two months left in the 2021 season, Kevin Na announced some unfortunate news. According to the PGA Tour icon’s latest update, he will miss the remainder of the year. However, while the news surely disappointed his fans, Na did provide everyone with the date of his return as well.
The 38-year-old last played the CJ Cup, finishing T49. He shot three-under 69 in Round 4. With the Zozo Championship and other events lined up, Na will, unfortunately, return only in 2022.
When will Kevin Na make his return to the PGA Tour?
As per Na’s own announcement, his rib injury forced him to cut his season short. “My off-season starts today! decided to end my year a bit early due to rib injury,” he wrote, adding that he is indeed looking forward to spending some time with his family.

Na will return to the course in January 2022. The place he mentioned is Hawaii, which indicates the Sony Open. The tournament itself is quite special for Na, which might be one of the reasons he chose it for his return. Notably, his last PGA Tour win was this year’s Sony Open, which will make him the defending champion in 2022.

Na birdied the 18th hole in Round 4 to win the title, making it his fifth career win. The Sony Open is a charity event, with Sony being partnered with them for 23 years.
Kevin also withdrew from the Shriners Children Open
Earlier this month, Na ended up withdrawing from the Shriners Children Open. “unfortunately I will be withdrawing from @ShrinersOpen because of a rib injury,” he wrote. “I hope be healthy for next week CJ Cup!”
His rib injury seems to be persistent; hence, necessary rest and recovery is needed before Na returns to the course.

Interestingly, Na has also won the Shriners Open twice before in his career, 2011 and 2019. He finished last season with the Tour Championship, coming in third. That being said, it is no lie that Na has been prone to injuries during his time on the PGA Tour. We wish him a speedy recovery.
