My husband is constantly comparing my looks to those of 20-somethings
DEAR DEIDRE: MY husband is constantly comparing my looks to those of 20-somethings and it’s making me feel frumpy.
I’ve always struggled with my body confidence.
I’m worried he doesn’t find me attractive any more
He knows that, and so you’d think he’d avoid staring at other women in the street.
He’s 56, I’m 54 and we’ve been married for 22 years.
Last month, we treated ourselves to a night out in London and I dressed up for the occasion.
As we walked from one bar to the next, my partner spotted a woman wearing a similar outfit to mine.

As he stared, he said: “Sorry love, but she has got curves in all the right places!”
He hadn’t paid me one compliment. It’s made me feel really low.
I’m worried he doesn’t find me attractive any more.

DEIDRE SAYS: Your husband has no need to mention when he spots another attractive woman, especially if he knows it upsets you.
But it sounds like the reason this has affected you so much is that he rarely compliments your appearance.
Sit him down and explain how this has made you feel. He may not have realised he’s stopped letting you know how much he appreciates you.
