Strictly Come Dancing judge Bruno Tonioli revealed he will be reprising his role on the panel once more, for the 2022 live shows.

Speaking on today’s episode of The One Show, the professional dancer updated fans on life in LA, amid his stint on the current series of Dancing With The Stars.

His Strictly seat is currently being kept warm by Anton Du Beke, formerly the show’s longest-running professional dancer.

It is still unclear whether Anton will remain in the role for good, but the US-based judge shared an update on his return to the UK.

Host Harry Judd began: ‘You are being missed, but tonight we can exclusively reveal some very good news.’

Bruno revealed: ‘Well, I am going to come back, and I am going to be doing the tour! I can’t wait to come and see the tour.

‘You’ve done the tour Harry, it is amazing. You get such a rush of adrenaline.’

The presenter went on to ask whether Bruno could give his verdict on any of this year’s stars.

However, he refused to do so, partly due to it being more difficult to watch out in the States.

He responded: ‘I’m [in] LA, we don’t have BBC One here, I follow it online. It would be very inappropriate for me to make any comments.

‘They’re doing a fantastic job, they’re still producing the most beautiful numbers, the judges are doing a great job. It would be very inappropriate to say more.’

Bruno will be joining fellow judges Shirley Ballas and Craig Revel-Horwood on the Strictly tour, which visits Birmingham, Leeds, Newcastle, Manchester, Sheffield, Liverpool, Glasgow, Nottingham and London.

The Italian star remains in the US to carry out his judging on DWTS alongside former Strictly head judge Len Goodman.

He was forced to choose between shows due to travel restrictions amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday at 7.05pm on BBC One.
