Taliban honours suicide bombers who killed US soldiers in twisted ceremony – handing out land and cash to their families
THE Taliban have promised plots of lands and cash to relatives of suicide bombers who targeted US and Afghan forces, a spokesman has confirmed.
The acting Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani met family members at a ceremony at the Intercontinental Hotel in Kabul on Tuesday to announce his decision.

According to a statement on Twitter, “the minister praised the Jihad and sacrifices of the martyrs” and even called them “heroes of Islam and the country.”
At the end of the meeting families of the suicide bombers were given clothing, 10,000 afghani (£80) and promised plots of land, spokesman Qari Sayeed Khosti added.
The latest promise of rewards for suicide bombers is at odds with previous assurances made to the west regarding their role as “diplomatic responsible rulers.”
Since the Taliban seized power in Afghanistan they claimed they would not enforce the strict oppressive laws of the 90s, which included many sexist rules that saw females mostly excluded from education and work.
So far, the Taliban’s education authority had said that this time women will be allowed to attend university.
But the order states that classes must be segregated by sex, or at least divided by a curtain and the students must wear an abaya robe and a niqab.

However, under the brutal Taliban regime, female students must only be taught by women or “old men” of good character – and end their lesson five minutes earlier than men to stop them from mingling outside.
BRUTAL REGIME CONTINUES
But this week their polices towards women took a further more deadly twist after the alleged beheading of a women’s volleyball player.
According to the victims’ coach, the young woman, Mahjabin Hakimi, was allegedly slaughtered by the Taliban earlier this month before images of her decapitated head were posted on social media.
According to the Persian Independent, the gruesome death went public only recently because insurgents threatened the girl’s family not to tell anyone about what happened.
It was when pictures of what appeared to be Mahjabin’s severed head were published on social media that her coach decided to speak out.
However, Mahjabin’s death has not been independently verified.
The coach, who wished not to be named, said that only two girls from the team managed to escape and Mahjabin was among the group of girls who were left behind.
Some had even burned their sports equipment in a desperate attempt to evade the strict crackdown by the extremist group.
Meanwhile Taliban fighters were also allegedly buying child brides and even babies to be raised and turned into sex slaves.
Sources have claimed that kids – as young as one – are reportedly being sold to vile extremists in exchange for cash, livestock and weapons.
The sick and twisted jihadis are exploiting the desperate and poverty-stricken people of Afghanistan – often targeting rural communities.
Sources have said that the Taliban have been preying on villages in Ghur province close to the Afghan capital Kabul.
Many of these citizens have also been subjected to medieval style hangings and whippings as international concerns continue to grow.
