Vitesse 1 Tottenham 0: Second string Spurs shocked by Dutch minnows in Europa Conference League horror show
TOTTENHAM’S second string side were stunned by Dutch side Vitesse as they suffered a 1-0 defeat in the Europa Conference League.
Manager Nuno Espirito Santo was left regretting his decision to make 11 changes from the win at Newcastle as Maximilian Wittek’s 78th minute volley gave the Eredivisie side a huge victory.

Bryan Gil came closest to breaking the deadlock for Spurs at the start of the second half as his effort crashed back off the crossbar.
But it was the home side who would produce the crucial moment of the match when Eliazer Dasa crossed for Wittek to thump a first-time volley into the bottom corner.
The result leaves Tottenham third in Group G on four points, below both Rennes and Vitesse.
