“He Did It” Trends on Twitter as Fans Erupt in Joy for Xavier Woods’ King of the Ring Win

The greatest essence of watching pro-wrestling is that you can see people’s dreams come true, right in front of your eyes. The same happened with Xavier Woods when he finally became the ‘King of the Ring’ in WWE, a dream which was 17 years in the making.

Last night Woods faced ‘Prince’ Finn Balor in the finals of the ‘King of the Ring’ tournament at WWE Crown Jewel PPV in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Arabian fans witnessed history when Woods became the ‘King’ after delivering his signature elbow drop from the top rope on Finn Balor, an homage to ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage.

Weeks prior to the tournament, Woods would constantly bring back his childhood memories when he dreamed of being a professional wrestler and winning the same crown he won last night.

The WWE Universe wants Xavier Woods to go all the way in WWE

Woods was the only New Day member who didn’t have any commendable singles championship/run in WWE. Kofi Kingston was once the WWE Champion at WrestleMania and Big E created history when he cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on Lashley to win the WWE Championship.

However, this did not make Woods jealous. Instead, he worked even harder, and now eventually, he is the ‘King’ of WWE.

His partner, Kofi Kingston, was overjoyed when watching the match on his laptop. It just shows what Woods means to Kingston and the crowd.

Former WWE Champion and hardcore legend, Mick Foley also took to his Twitter to congratulate Woods and Zelina Vega on becoming the “King” and “Queen” respectively.

“This guy is very proud of both of you!” he wrote.

Looks like after pushing the other two members of New Day, the WWE creative team has decided to let Woods get what he has wanted for some time now.

However, the WWE Universe is fully aware of how the creative team can drop a plan for a wrestler amid a storyline. Just like what happened to Shinsuke Nakamura when he won the Royal Rumble but he still has to win a major championship in the company.

How long will Woods survive all on his own in WWE? Will he defy all odds and be the breakout superstar for the remainder of the year? We’ll see.
