Charity Kase, the latest queen eliminated from RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, has revealed how ‘supportive’ H from Steps has been since her exit, revealing the cheeky banter they shared on set.

During episode 5 of Drag Race UK series 3, the queens were challenged to create infomercials to promote a drag version of Alexa, named Draglexa.

On the runway, they showed off their best Spenny Henny looks, with several of the queens oozing with glamour as they dazzled in their most expensive-looking ensembles.

Despite continually impressing the judges with her runway creations, Charity was told to sashay away after landing in the bottom two with Scarlett Harlett, opening up about her experience in the competition with Metro.co.uk.

Charity said that while the way her journey unfolded wasn’t what she had envisioned for herself, she felt really proud of what she accomplished and wouldn’t have changed anything, admitting she felt ‘relieved’ to leave when she did.

In week four of the competition, the queens were surprised by the arrival of Steps members Ian ‘H’ Watkins, Claire Richards, Lee Latchford-Evans and Faye Tozer, with Lisa Scott-Lee unfortunately unable to be there in person.

Charity explained how much fun she had during her recording session with H in a scene not shown in the final cut, teasing that she had fun flirting with the singer.

‘It was amazing to meet all of the guest judges, but H from Steps, to die for,’ Charity said.

‘I absolutely love H from Steps, he’s a sweetheart, a definite highlight. And I was flirting with him as well, like flirting with him during the recording session which was so fun, just like bouncing about being a little Gollum character.’

Charity said that the fun she had during the recording session was one moment in the competition when she felt ‘truly like myself on set’, as it was ‘really exciting to feel really comfortable on stage, ‘so I was sad that got cut’.

While H clearly made a significant impression on Charity while filming the series, he has continued to be supportive of her and the other stars of the show, the drag queen revealed.

‘He was very entertaining and very helpful, and he’s been so supportive since, so supportive,’ Charity said, adding that he has ‘talked to all of us’.

The latest episode of the competition marked the second consecutive week that Charity and Scarlett were in the bottom two together, although last week they were both saved in a double shantay.

While there appeared to be quite a bit of tension between the pair in episode five, Charity emphasised that they’re really good friends, with all of the queens of series three still in contact on a WhatsApp group chat.

Earlier this month, Charity was highly praised on Drag Race UK for opening up about her positive HIV status, explaining that she contracted the virus when she was 18 years old.

The performer said that she went onto the show ‘with the intention of telling my story to a certain extent, but whilst I was in there, I chose to be a bit more honest and lay it all out’.

‘I think that was a coping mechanism for feeling like I wasn’t really achieving what I wanted to achieve on the show, so I felt like I could achieve something else instead. It felt like the one thing I had power over, that was my story,’ she continued.

‘I used that power and the support has been absolutely incredible. The messages I’ve got are next level, honestly. It’s amazing to feel like something that I said has changed so many people’s lives.’

As for what’s next on the horizon for charity, she expressed interest in doing more work behind the scenes on TV shows such as American Horror Story, given her incredible costume and make-up skills.

Come on Ryan Murphy – let’s make this happen!

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK returns next Thursday at 7pm on BBC Three.
