It was a great honor for the Swiss ace to have his face on the trams in his hometown of Basel. Earlier this year, Federer became the official ambassador of Swiss tourism. He has taken up the role with keen interest and recently appeared in an interesting advertisement for Swiss tourism.

Being one of the most popular Swiss exports ever, after perhaps chocolates and watches, one can certainly say he deserves this new role.

Coming on to tennis, Federer ended his season after the Wimbledon loss. He released a statement in which he revealed that he would be missing tennis for a while after being required to undergo third knee surgery in 12 months.

However, he did surprise fans when he decided to make an appearance for the Laver Cup 2021. Although he came on crutches, he made it a point to lighten up the environment with his presence. We hope to see him competing against the top players in the game and return healthy soon.
