IMPACT Wrestling Bound For Glory 2021 preview: UK start time, matches, live stream, surprises and more

IMPACT Wrestling presents Bound For Glory later tonight and fans are buzzing for another thrilling night of (total nonstop) action.

The company has been on a real roll for a few years now as it steadily builds momentum, and it’s transformed public perception by positioning itself as a legitimately exciting promotion delivering top stories between the ropes.

Tonight should be no different, with one debut already confirmed, some rumoured surprises and five titles on the line, while the preshow will see the company crown its first ever Digital Media Champion.

Former WWE duo The IIconics – now known as The IInspiration – will appear in an IMPACT ring for the first time, wasting no time in chasing gold, but there are rumblings of another massive signing in the pipeline.

As ever, the company has built up some serious intrigue heading into a major show, and their track record suggests you won’t want to miss a minute of this one.

Here’s everything you need to know…

Surprises, debuts and title changes: What to expect from Slammiversary 2021

***Potential spoiler warning***

To give you a chance to look away if you haven’t seen any of the rumours, let’s take a look at the card itself, as the main event seems primed for a title change as Josh Alexander battles living legend Christian Cage for the IMPACT Wrestling World Championship in what should be an incredible match.

Deonna Purrazzo should retain her gold over Mickie James in another great bout, but it’s far too soon for the Virtuosa to drop the title, and Mickie doesn’t feel like the right choice to dethrone her.

Without knowing the full field, W. Morrissey feels like a great choice to win the Call Your Shot Gauntlet, while the X-Division Title would look great around any of El Phantasmo, Steve Maclin or Trey Miguel’s waist (although we’re expecting one of the latter two).

Heath and his mystery partner (he’s hoping for Rhino, but let’s see) should beat Violent By Design, and The IInspiration winning the Knockouts Tag Team Titles on their first night would be the right move for the, erm, iconic duo.

Elsewhere, The Good Brothers could drop the gold in a very open tag match, while the inter-gender Digital Media Title is another tough one to predict, although Chelsea Green could be a strong fit while she’s away from either of the Knockouts Title pictures.

Now, one last chance to back out before we get onto the rumoured surprises for the night.

According to reports, both Braun Strowman (now under his real name Adam Scherr) and NWA’s Melina Perez could be making their appearances at Bound For Glory.

Melina – who faced Purrazzo at NWA EmPowerrr last month – could step back up to the champ, while fellow WWE alumni Scherr could slot in anywhere in the card, with matches with W. Morrissey and more all exciting prospects.

It’ll be fascinating to see how everything goes down, and as we noted at the top of the piece, IMPACT rarely miss on PPV.
