KATIE Price has broken her silence over her drink-drive crash as she apologised and insisted she has taken ‘full responsibility’.

At the end of September, the 43-year-old former glamour model flipped her BMW on its side on a country lane near her home in West Sussex.

It lead to her checking into private hospital, The Priory, where she is still receiving treatment.

However, her family has released a statement on her behalf where she speaks about the crash for the first time.

It read: “Kate acknowledges and takes full responsibility for her actions. She knows they were wrong and apologises.

“Kate is deeply loved and she loves her family.”

The statement, released to the Sunday Mirror, goes on to say that the mother-of-five is receiving a great deal of support and strength from her children.

Katie was banned from driving at the time of her crash, which happened on September 28.

The star later pleaded guilty to one count of drink-driving, one count of driving without insurance, and one count of driving while disqualified.

She will be sentenced on December 15.

The statement comes as Katie releases her latest memoir, Harvey and Me, which documents her life with eldest son Harvey, 19, who suffers from complex medical needs due to the rare genetic condition Prader-Willi Syndrome.
