Lakers’ Dwight Howard Claims He & Anthony Davis “Squashed” Their Issues After Altercation
The Lakers faced off against the Phoenix Suns in the second game of their season yesterday. After a disappointing and close loss at the hands of the Warriors, LeBron James and Co. were expected to make a solid comeback.
But the Purple and Gold fizzled out in an embarrassing manner. With lapses defensively and offensively, the Lakers looked absolutely clueless against the Suns. Not only were the struggles in terms of play, they had some questionable moments of it as well.
In the first half of the game itself, the Lakers found two of their big men in Anthony Davis and Dwight Howard clashed with one another. Fans, ex-players and many players went berserk and reacted to the same. Given how public this altercation was, many fans are eager whether the two reconciled after the same.

Dwight Howard claims his issues with Lakers’ Anthony Davis resolved
While the Howard and Davis fight was certainly a big blow for the Lakers, the former DPOY recently spoke about the altercation. “We squashed it right then and there. We just had a disagreement about something that was on the floor.”
Howard then added, “We’re both very passionate about winning. We didn’t want to lose this game, so we’re just passionate. We got it out of the way. We’re grown men, things happen. But we are going to squash this little issue between me and him, and that’s my brother, that’s my teammate.”

The Lakers will hope that their front court duo of Howard and AD can solve the issues between one another. The Lakers’ team chemistry and their camaraderie were one of the biggest reasons for the team’s success in the Orlando bubble.
Given that the majority of their supporting cast have returned for this season, the team hoped that veterans like Howard and Rondo would be a boost to the team. But such a public altercation might be a big hurdle to the same. Coach Frank Vogel will certainly hope that the veterans can gel with each other.
Meanwhile, the coaching staff has to figure out how to build a cohesive system around the big three. Can the Lakers make a comeback after starting the season with a 0-2 record? Let us know in the comments section down below.
