Sky drops action-packed trailer for final series of A Discovery of Witches

If you’re a fan of A Discovery of Witches, you’re in luck, as the trailer for the new series is here.

The fantasy series will return to Sky Max and NOW early next year, and the final instalment is highly anticipated.

The Sky Original first aired in 2018, with the first season coming to a close in November that year and series two premiering back in January this year.

In the final series of A Discovery of Witches, Matthew (played by Matthew Goode) and Diana (Teresa Palmer) return from their trip to 1590 to find tragedy at Sept-Tours.

The pair must find the missing pages from the Book of Life and the Book itself before it’s too late.

But it won’t be plain sailing, as their enemies are plotting against them, and a monster from Matthew’s past will return for revenge after waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike.

The latest trailer is action-packed, teasing viewers with what’s to come following the gruesome death of Emily Mather at the hands of Peter Knox last series.

Upcoming episodes plan to show Knox suffering the consequences of his actions and bringing the offspring of a vampire and a witch into the magical world.

We will also be introduced to a now-pregnant Diana Bishop who has a massive target on her back due to the sheer power her and vampire Matthew Clairmont’s children possess, as unions between witches and vampires are strictly forbidden.

The series has an all-star ensemble cast including the likes of Owen Teale, Malin Buska, Alex Kingston, Aiysha Hart, Edward Bluemel, Lindsay Duncan, and Peter McDonald.

Season three is based on the The Book of Life novel from Deborah Harkness’s bestselling All Souls trilogy.
