Strictly Come Dancing’s John Whaite insists he won’t fall victim to the show’s infamous curse as he admitted he feels ‘no attraction’ to his dance partner Johannes Radebe.

The star’s recent admission comes after the pair shared a friendly kiss as they left the studio, following an appearance on It Takes Two.

The Great British Bake Off winner, 32, put all rumours to bed in an interview with The Sun, and insisted his fiancée, graphic designer Paul Atkins, had nothing to worry about.

John said: ‘When you spend that much time with someone, you see them warts and all. I think I’ve burped in Johannes’ face.

‘I might have even farted at one point. There is no attraction because you see sweat and everything. If you could see our sweaty underpants, you wouldn’t find us sexy.’

John also revealed that Paul has been showing his support for the duo in rehearsals.

‘Paul’s doing everything for us. The other day he came home with a pink lunchbox,’ John explained.

The first all-male couple in Strictly’s history have fast become fan-favourites from the beginning and their previous routines proved exactly why.

John and Johannes had danced a beautiful American Smooth to I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me) by Aretha Franklin and George Michael and even incorporated an impressive lift into the routine, with John lifting Johannes into the air.

The pair will take to the dancefloor once again on Saturday and will be dancing the Charleston to Edith Piaf’s Milord.

Let’s hope they can pull all the 10s out the bag this time round!

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Sunday from 7.10pm on BBC One.
