Doctor Who fans have been waiting for more than long enough for a new series of their favourite sci-fi show and here is all you need to know about its imminent return.
The six upcoming episodes will all act as part of a single underlying series titled Flux, which will see The Doctor (Jodie Whittaker) have to take on some of her biggest battles ever.
It will also be Jodie Whittaker’s last full season in her role as the titular character, as well as Chris Chibnall’s final series as showrunner before he hands back the reins to Russell T Davies.
The mysterious title has coloured us intrigued and as long-term viewers try to work out more about what this might mean, we’re here to give out all the details about Doctor Who: Flux.

Fans have been waiting since November 2019 for certainty surrounding the air date of the shiny new episodes.
More recently, the show teased its comeback for weeks on end, giving fans short snippets in between some of their other favourite BBC programmes which hinted at an upcoming return.
But earlier this month, it was confirmed series 12 would premiere on October 31.
The first episode will be available to watch at 6.25 pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
Episodes will release weekly on Sundays, with the final episode of the new season set to air on December 5 – with three more specials airing early in 2022.

Craig Parkinson will star in The Flux (Picture: BBC/James Pardon)
Jodie Whittaker and Mandip Gill will both return as they reprise their roles as The Doctor and her companion, Yazmin Khan, after Bradley Walsh and Tosin Cole exited at the end of series 12.
There are also some brand-new faces for fans to look forward to, with the main addition being John Bishop, who will portray new companion Dan Lewis.
Another recognisable name joining is Jacob Anderson, playing a character named Vinder, who will help The Doctor and co fight evil. The actor will be remembered by fantasty series fans for his portrayal of Grey Worm in Game of Thrones.
A recently released trailer for the series, which premieres in just a matter of days, also gave a hint of some of the fantastic guest stars who will feature in the Flux miniseries.

Line Of Duty baddie Craig Parkinson will star in the series, with the actor saying: ‘I feel tremendously lucky to have joined the Doctor Who family this season.’
The Inbetweeners’ favourite Blake Harrison also pops up in the trailer, with his new character fearfully telling the Doctor to ‘stay away’ from him.
Other familiar faces to join the cast for the special episodes include The Split’s Annabel Scholey, Cold Feet’s Robert Bathurst and Unforgotten star Sara Powell.
