Robert Horry Explains How LeBron James Has ‘Reinvented Himself’ for The 2021-22 Season

LeBron James and Lakers basketball is finally back. After a dismal 2020-21 season, the Purple and Gold have made some massive changes in their roster and are the odds on favorite to clinch the Western Conference.

In the first two games though, the Lakers haven’t looked as convincing though. Starting off the campaign with a 0-2 record, LeBron and Co. certainly look like a team who need a lot of work in order to be a top team.

But in the first two games, the Lakers have seen a standout performer in LBJ. Scoring a total of 55 points in the first two points, ‘the King’ looks unstoppable in the 19th season of his career.

Robert Horry explains how LeBron James has changed his game

LeBron might have started off his NBA career in 2003 but over the years he has had a massive change in his game. Be it him embracing the three point line or else Bron’s ability to adapt.

In the 19th season, it seems LeBron has had a transformation to his game yet again, In a recent podcast, 7-time NBA champion Robert Horry explained what change ‘King James’ has made to his game.

“I’m shocked how good LeBron looked. For him not to have played any pre-season game but yeah it never stops….. I don’t know if you noticed this, but he’s changed his shot and I noticed it, Okay, you know how usually when he jumps he leans a little bit yeah he’s playing straight up.”

He added, “Now he leans in face back with that little thing he does like this now he’s more straight up and his shot looked really good I’m not even gonna lie….. Oh s**t the brother has reinvented himself.”

LeBron’s change has certainly been visible in the first two games of the season. Scoring 5 threes each in the first two games, Bron has been effective from the perimeter knocking down 50% from the three the three point line.

Despite the Lakers adding some excellent shooters, their star players like Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis haven’t had much success from the perimeter. Given how inconsistent the team looks, LeBron’s excellent shooting might be necessary if the team wants to succeed. Will LBJ has his best shooting season so far this season?
