Shakur Stevenson stole a major chunk of the spotlight in the biggest fight of his career against Jamel Herring. The stakes were already high for this bout as the WBO super-featherweight title was on the line. Without a doubt, the young force put on a sensational performance in this fight. But the big question is, what is next for him?

Is he ready to face other champions in the division and unify his titles?

After his prolific win, Stevenson, in the post-fight interview, opened up on who he wants next.

He said, “I mean, there’s only one fight left at the end of the day. It’s the biggest fight in the division. Oscar can’t keep ducking. It’s time for him to fight. It’s me versus Oscar Valdez, there’s nothing else to look forward to the 130-pound division, we need to unify, let’s get it.”

Ever since Stevenson moved up to the super-featherweight roster, a fight between him and Valdez was always a talk of the town. Unfortunately, it never came to fruition. Now that ‘Fearless ‘ holds the WBO super-featherweight title, and Valdez holds the WBC title, it may be easier for them to seal a unification bout.

Shakur Stevenson and Oscar Valdez are in their primes. Both of them have already cemented their place in the 130-pound frame. Both of them are true attackers, and their oppressive fighting strategies have worked wonders for them. That said, both of them will have a genuine test against each other, that is, if they collide. As both men are undefeated, fans will be excited at the prospect of seeing them raise their game to maintain their streaks.
