‘Game Over’: Fans React to Steph Curry and Warriors’ Win vs Kings to Complete Clean California Sweep

The Warriors vs the Kings game went neck to neck. The GSW, playing without Andre Iguodala (left hip soreness), allowed more playing minutes to Otto Porter Jr. and that helped on the defensive end (especially that denial on a Davion layup). Apart from that, it was the double-double from Steph Curry, inside of three quarters, that kept them in the game.

Steve Kerr made a move by bringing in Gary Payton II early and placing him on De’Aaron Fox. But apart from just his defensive prowess, the star also showed some great long-range efficacy in the decisive quarter. No wonder the Dubs Nation took a 119-107 victory even after a decent first three quarters from the home team.

The GSW are now 3-0 after taking down the Lakers, the Clippers, and the Kings. They’ve been just too good at making comebacks late in the game. The thing is, one can’t count the Warriors out until the very end.

The suprise package of the game remained Draymond Green, who dropped 14 points, 6 rebs, and 6 assists at 50% field shooting. He was an offensive force while guard Jordan Poole took good care of the defense. All of this greatness got fans talking –

Also nice to see the #Warriors win without an otherworldly performance from Curry.

So yes, the fans noticed how when Andrew Wiggins and GP do their bit, Steph can step aside and see his Warriors flourish.

Davion Mitchell on Steph Curry didn’t work

The Warriors, as per reports, were confused between Davion Mitchell and Jonathan Kuminga as their #7 draft pick in 2021. However, they went with the latter and lost the former to the Kings (#9 pick). So it was interesting to see how the Kings placed Davion on Steph Curry.

However, that didn’t work out as per Kings’ plan because the rookie’s off-the-ball defense had some flaws which the Curry-Green duo cooked. Take a look at one of those sequences where the rookie slept on Curry’s intelligence and paid a price.

An example of that elevated off-ball defensive test that Steph Curry provides for Davion Mitchell. Here’s Curry losing him with a quick cut and Draymond Green finding him just as he breaks open. Only needs a split-second. pic.twitter.com/qFBUEhuDFN

Curry ended the night with 27 points, 7 rebs, 10 assists, and 3 steals. However, his three-point shooting did not look as good with a poor 4/15 show. Also, his final eight three-point attempts went with no conversion.

So do you see this as a worry or do you believe the Warriors are anyway unstoppable? Help us know in the comments section below.
