Kristen Stewart thinks she’s only made five ‘really good’ films

Kristen Stewart may be one of the most famous actresses in Hollywood, but she doesn’t have a very high opinion of her back catalogue.

The 31-year-old – best known for starring as Bella Swan in the Twilight Saga – has said that she has only made ‘five really good films’ out of 46 in her career, so cue writers and producers trawling her IMDB page to predict if they made the cut.

Speaking to The Sunday Times, Kristen said: ‘It’s a total c**pshoot. I’ve probably made five really good films, out of 45 or 50 films? Ones that I go, “Wow, that person made a top-to-bottom beautiful piece of work!”’

The actress named her collaborations with Olivier Assayas, Clouds of Sils Maria and Personal Shopper, as two of her favourites, and while she didn’t spill on the ones she hated, she admitted that those she loved are ‘few and far between’.

Kristen said: ‘I’ve only regretted saying yes to a couple of films and not because of the result, but because it wasn’t fun. The worst is when you’re in the middle of something and know that not only is it probably going to be a bad movie, but we’re all bracing until the end.’

However, she didn’t want to expose the bad experiences.

She said: ‘No! I’m not a mean person — I’m not going to call people out in public. But it’s like starting to date someone and going, “Woah! I don’t know what we’re doing!” But when you’re in the middle of a movie you can’t just break up.’

Kristen’s big break came when she played the part of Jodie Foster’s daughter in the thriller Panic Room in 2002, and she received acclaim for playing a victim of sexual assault in 2004’s Speak.

But in 2008, her profile went stratospheric when she played Bella Swan in the global phenomenon Twilight opposite then-boyfriend Robert Pattinson, a role she reprised in four sequels.

As hugely successful as those movies were, we doubt Kristen will include them in her top five good movies, considering the less than flattering reviews of her acting and the plot.

Other big budget films Kristen has starred in include Snow White and The Huntsman and the Charlie’s Angels reboot.

Perhaps her latest film, Spencer, will make the list, as the drama is creating plenty of awards season buzz for K-Stew’s portrayal of Princess Diana

The movie was given a three-minute standing ovation at its premiere, and many critics have predicted Kristen will get her first Oscar nomination for the role.

She wouldn’t be the first Twilight star to get a nomination, though – that honour went to Anna Kendrick, who played Bella’s friend Jessica in the films and was nominated for best supporting actress for Up In The Air.

Rami Malek, who played Benjamin in Breaking Dawn Part 2, became the first Oscar winner/Twilight star, with his best actor win for Bohemian Rhapsody.
