WWE has announced its full pay-per-view schedule for 2022 – and UK fans are still left wondering if a heavily rumoured stadium show is on the cards.
In a bit of a departure from its usual strategy, the company has unveiled its calendar for next year, including dates and locations for Royal Rumble, WrestleMania 38, Money In The Bank, SummerSlam and more huge events.
As well as confirming plans for ‘a minimum of four’ stadium events, WWE has booked more Saturday night shows rather than the traditional Sunday timeslot, and SummerSlam itself will be earlier than its usual August date.
The year will kick off with Vince McMahon’s company’s first ever New Year’s Day show – suitably titled Day 1 – at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena, with the Royal Rumble coming to St. Louis on January 29.
There’s currently nothing on the schedule for February or March, which may change at some point, while WrestleMania will take place over two nights on April 2 and 3, both at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas.
It’s all a bit vague for May and June, with the respective shows simply noted as unnamed pay-per-views, so WWE must be figuring out the branding for those events in Providence, R.I. and Chicago.
WWE PPV schedule 2022
Saturday, January 29 – Royal Rumble at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis
Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3 – WrestleMania at AT&T Stadium in Dallas
Sunday, May 8 – Pay-Per-View at Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, R.I.
Sunday, June 5 – Pay-Per-View at Allstate Arena in Chicago
Saturday, July 2 – Money In The Bank at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas
Saturday, July 30 – SummerSlam at Nissan Stadium in Nashville
Saturday, September 3 or Sunday, September 4 – Pay-Per-View at TBD location
Saturday, November 26 – Survivor Series at TD Garden in Boston
July 2 sees Money In The Bank get an upgrade at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, which was the home of this year’s SummerSlam – while the latter event will now take place at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium on July 30.
Interestingly, a PPV is listed as taking place on either September 3 or 4 at an as-yet-unspecified location, which some fans are hoping is pointing to a major UK show.
Nothing is down for October just yet, but Survivor Series will be at Boston’s TD Garden on November 26.

In terms of the UK, WWE will be back for another tour in November after making a return last month, but we may have to wait for confirmation of anything on a grander scale.
Fans and Drew McIntyre himself have been calling for a stadium show – which would be the first since SummerSlam 1992 at Wembley Stadium – and talkSPORT had reported internal talks about just that to mark the anniversary.
However, with SummerSlam now in the calendar, it seems plans could be shifting – and we’ll have to wait and see.
