Fans have been quick to send the star well-wishes.

On This Morning earlier this year, they pointed out the risks around Covid and the benefits of getting vaccinated.

People who have had both Covid-19 vaccinations can still catch the virus. However, it lowers the risks of dying of the virus, being hospitalised, and being seriously ill with it.

Eamonn said in July: ‘I know people who have been double jabbed and they have Covid and they were saying to me, “You would not want to get this” so double jab is not going to prevent this happening.’

‘Not 100%,’ Ruth pointed out, ‘but it provides protection and it hopefully stops you getting very ill with it or dying, but it doesn’t stop you getting it or spreading it actually.’

Meanwhile, Ruth also shared her experience of getting her vaccines on social media, saying she’s ‘so grateful’.
