Is John Cena the Ghostface from Scream Movie?

The sixteen-time World Champion, John Cena, has been in countless storylines and feuds throughout his career. One of them was his feud with Team Awesome Truth.

Just in case you don’t remember, “Awesome Truth” was composed of The Miz and R-Truth joining forces. Ah, the nostalgia of that era. Well, now you might think why we are talking about this feud in particular.

Well, since Halloween is just around the corner, we decided to take a trip down the spooky lane. The segment we are talking about is from October 31, 2011, when the face of the company became the Ghostface from the movie Scream.

This infamous segment happened in the main event of Raw. The match between John Cena and The Miz was in full swing when suddenly, an unidentified man with the Ghostface mask attacked Cena.

But Cena, being the pro he is, used his presence of mind and took out the mystery man. But The Miz got enough time to capitalize on Cena, but only enough to drag him into the ring.

The Miz went for his finisher, The Skull Crushing Finale, but again, Cena countered it into the “STF” submission maneuver. And as you can probably guess, The Miz had no other option but to submit in agony.

However, the Ghostface was resilient as anything and tried to attack Cena from behind. But this time Ghostface was caught in the act. Cena picked up the mystery man and gave him an “Attitude Adjustment” for his troubles.

Cena removed the mask, revealing to the world that the Ghostface was not anyone else, but R-Truth. Adding insult to injury, Cena put on the mask himself and mocked Truth with a “You Can’t See Me”.
