‘The Worst Games of My Career was Against…..’ – Tom Brady Makes Shocking Admission on Manningcast

Tom Brady appeared on the latest edition of Manningcast, airing during Seattle Seahawks vs New Orleans Saints. While the Monday Night Football fixture provided tons of entertainment, Brady did his part as well. However, he made one shocking claim that didn’t sit well with many fans, and surprised us as well.

Tom Brady makes shocking admission on Manningcast

On the Manningcast, Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ quarterback admitted that Miami Dolphins from 2000 to 2005 had the best defense in the league. Yes, Miami Dolphins, who are currently struggling, had the best defense in the league, a decade and a half ago. This claim didn’t sit well with folks who are currently watching the Dolphins’ progress.

But we have to go back to those years to examine how Miami stopped a rampaging New England Patriots offense. Right off the bat, we credit Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas. Former NFL Defensive Player of the Year and three-time All Pro, Jason Taylor was the backbone of Miami’s defense. And five-time All Pro linebacker Zach Thomas also made offenses sweat when they played the Dolphins.

“Think of those early Miami defenses. 2000 to about 2005, they lined up the same front, same coverages; I think the worst games of my career was against the Miami Dolphins. I mean, like 79 yards passing, 115 yards passing. We couldn’t move and we couldn’t complete passes. It was embarrassing. And they didn’t do anything different.”

Tom Brady gave a shoutout to the early 2000s Miami Dolphins defenses as some of the toughest he ever had to go against on MNF with Peyton and Eli.

Of course, Twitter had a field day with the memes as they took Brady’s analysis and ran with it. In an instant, Twitter blew up with talks about how Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas kept a rampaging Bill Belichick led offense at bay. Within a few moments, their All Pro statuses rose to an even higher stance, making them living legends.

Being recognized by the GOAT definitely has its perks.
