Arsenal in line for TRIPLE injury boost with Ben White, Kieran Tierney and Martin Odegaard set to return at Leicester

MIKEL ARTETA hopes to have Ben White, Kieran Tierney and Martin Odegaard available for Saturday’s lunchtime kick off against Leicester.

White had to be substituted during Tuesday night’s win against Leeds, while Tierney and Odegaard have also been suffering with knocks.

Speaking after the 2-0 win Arteta revealed White was struggling with an illness that had also ruled Pablo Mari out of the game.

The Spaniard said: “There is a bug going on. We lost Pablo today as well as he wasn’t feeling great.

“Ben had it as well for the last day or two. He wasn’t feeling great, so we decided to take him off.”

Meanwhile Tierney has been out since last week with a bruised ankle that forced him to miss the 3-1 win against Aston Villa.

Odegaard came on in that game, but picked up a knock that forced him to miss Tuesday’s Carabao Cup clash.

On the pair, Arteta said: “They were both out with two different injuries. They tried yesterday but they didn’t feel great.

“They wanted to be involved, but they weren’t good enough to be selected today.

“Hopefully in the next few days they can feel better and they can be available for Leicester.”

The news comes as a boost to Arteta, with long-term absentee Granit Xhaka likely to be the Gunners’ only missing man at the weekend.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had to be substituted in Friday’s win, although Arteta insisted his captain was just suffering from cramp.

He was given Tuesday night off but is set to return to the side at the King Power.

The victory against Leeds at the Emirates extends Arsenal’s unbeaten run in all competitions to eight games.

That’s after the Gunners were BOTTOM of the Premier League table in August three matches into the campaign.

Calum Chambers scored just 23 seconds after coming on as a substitute to replace the stricken White just before the hour mark.

And Eddie Nketiah ensured the North Londoners’ spot in the hat for the quarter-finals with a deft finish twenty minutes from time.
