Charles Leclerc Urges Ferrari Loyalty From American F1 Fans After Hit Netflix Series Drive to Survive
Ferrari is most adored in Italy, but Charles Leclerc feels that with Formula One becoming big in America, they should start supporting the iconic red team on the grid.
The sport of Formula One exploded in the States ever since the hit series Drive to Survive dropped on Netflix. With the Circuit of the Americas returning to the calendar, Leclerc feels Americans should show their love for Ferrari.
Charles Leclerc feels Ferrar’s fanbase in the States can grow
After Drive to Survive aired on Netflix, the love for the sport grew in America. Hence, in order to capitalize on this opportunity, the Monegasque racing driver feels that fans from the Stateside should begin cheering for the Maranello-based team.
Speaking to GQ at the United States Grand Prix, Leclerc said, “For me, Ferrari is the most iconic team ever in Formula 1 – they’ve achieved so much and have been there from the beginning.”

“They’re such an incredible team, and have had most of the legends of the sport. Why support me? Well, I don’t know…I’m trying to do the best job possible, and if they like my personality from interviews and Netflix, then why not? But I’m not very good at selling myself, so hopefully my skills on the race track are good enough for them to start supporting me,” Leclerc concluded.

How did Leclerc perform in Austin?
Sunday’s race saw the Ferrari driver start from fourth on the grid. Having such a good position for lights out, the 24-year-old was aiming for a win or at least a shot at the podium.

However, even though Leclerc pushed himself to the limit, he failed to secure a podium finish, let alone a win. Now, with a week off, the 24-year-old has his eyes set on the Mexican Grand Prix, where he aims to redeem himself.
