This week’s episode of The Graham Norton Show is set to feature appearances from former US president Barack Obama and Jesy Nelson, and fans don’t know how to feel about them both being on the same sofa.
Every Friday, the 58-year-old Irish presenter has a star-studded lineup of guests join him, and this time around, he’s got Dame Judi Dench, Jamie Dornan, musician Tinie Tempah and Bruce Springstein.
However, fans weren’t expecting to see American politician Barack and the English singer Jesy thrown into the (little) mix.
Sharing their disbelief on social media, one person wrote: ‘Jesy Nelson and Barack Obama is not a sentence I thought I’d ever be reading.’
Echoing a similar sentiment, another added: ‘How am I on a timeline where Jesy Nelson and Barack Obama are on the same red sofa? Beam me up!!!!’
The surprise comes after the former Little Mix singer, 30, was criticised by some for her appearance in the video for Boyz, her debut solo track.
Jesy, who will be performing the new track on Friday night’s chat show, has made headlines since the single was released with accusations of blackfishing – the practice of a non-black person trying to appear black.
The star, however, denied using fake tan and said she had been to Antigua in the weeks before the video shoot and that explained her darker skin tone.

Jade’s former bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock had reportedly warned her about blackfishing.
During a livestream with Nicki Minaj, who appears on Boyz, Jesy said: ‘I personally want to say that my intention was never, ever to offend people of colour with this video and my song because like I said, growing up as a young girl, this is the music that I listened to.’

Addressing the alleged comments from Leigh-Anne about blackfishing, Jesy continued: ‘It’s just hard for me because I was in a group with two women of colour for nine years and it was never brought up to me up until the last music video I did with them.’
Nicki also defended Jesy and appeared to aim several shots at the members of Little Mix.
