Call of Duty: Vanguard PlayStation file size requires more space than Xbox Series X/S

Recently, news regarding the size of Vanguard for PlayStation and Xbox consoles has taken the internet by storm. The space for each console has been listed below.

PS5: 64.13 GB Download | 89.84 GB Required Space
 PS4: 54.65 GB Download | 93.12 GB Required Space
 Xbox Series X |S: 61 GB Download | 61 GB Required Space
 Xbox One: 56.6 GB Download | 56.6 GB Required Space

Through this, we can estimate that PlayStation users will require more space than Xbox players. This is making several players wonder if PlayStation will support more enhanced graphics or frame rate than Xbox.

One of the comments said,” Ps5 requires 89 GB. I’m Guessing that 25 GB difference is for 4k textures and PS timed exclusive content they get. Xbox 61GB does not need a 4k texture patch and won’t get any content for a while. Thankfully GB size it better than the cold war 250GB required.” Another comment said,” I think the PS5 version has extra content.”

Whereas some players are also questioning the PS5’s Kraken decompression technology. For those who don’t know, the Kraken decoder acts as an effective speed multiplier for data loading. Furthermore, data is stored compressed on the SSD and decoded transparently at load time on PS5.
