Kyle Busch to Face Off Against Rallycross Star Travis Pastrana at Phoenix

In November, the NASCAR drivers will be competing in the 2021 season finale at Phoenix. However, for Kyle Busch, the action is not stopping there, as he has another engagement after the Phoenix Cup race. To be precise, he is expected to compete in the Nitro Rallycross race on November 13th and 14th.

It is also worth mentioning that his opponent will be rallycross star, Travis Pastrana. Apparently, Nitro Rallycross is Pastrana’s brainchild, in collaboration with Nitro Circus production. The race at Phoenix is the third round of the inaugural season, and Busch will be one of the many competitors.

Busch won’t be the only NASCAR-affiliated driver on the grid, as Scott Speed is also competing. Aside from other rallycross stars, IndyCar driver Sage Karam will also be part of the series. The first round of that season took place at Utah, with Swedish driver Timmy Hansen winning. Meanwhile, Scott Speed clinched victory at the race in Minneapolis.

Kyle Busch has to focus on the current Cup season

For the moment, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver needs to ignore any extra-curricular activities. This is because, he is locked in a fierce battle for the Cup Series championship. Out of the eight contenders, only Kyle Larson has confirmed his berth in the season finale. With Larson winning at Kansas, he has denied his opponents a second chance at automatic qualification.

As a result, Kyle Busch and the six remaining opponents have to really put their heads down and charge. However, Larson does not seem to be the type to go easy on them and allow them to snatch an easy win.

Instead, there will be no holds barred for every man out on the track at Martinsville and at Phoenix. Once all of that drama unfolds and a winner is crowned, then Kyle Busch can train his focus on other racing series.
