Oleksandr Usyk and Andy Ruiz Jr. are the only two men to have vanquished Anthony Joshua in a professional boxing scrap. They claimed their respective wins as the underdogs and in pretty different ways. Ruiz Jr. stopped Joshua with thunderous blows during their first fight in 2019. Meanwhile, Oleksandr Usyk outboxed ‘AJ’ to claim a decision win on September 25.

The contrast between Usyk’s and Ruiz Jr’s performances prevailed even after the results of the fight. While Ruiz Jr was overjoyed as he became the first-ever heavyweight world champion from his country, Usyk seemed calm and composed after grabbing the heavyweight straps from Joshua.
