Timothée Chalamet revealed to be Xbox YouTuber as a teen before fame

Timothée Chalamet spent his teenage years modding Xbox controllers and showing them off on YouTube before he became a world-famous actor and the star of Dune, it has been revealed.
An investigation by Vice showed major evidence that a young Timothée, pre-Ladybird and Call Me By Your Name fame, spent his time creating custom Xbox controllers and uploading them online.
Though the account owner – ModdedController360 – never showed his face, prominent journalists and a security expert who investigates war crimes were able to identify him by his voice, items in the background, and a scar on his finger.
The explosive reveal was somewhat deflated by the fact that just last week, in an interview with YouTuber Nate Hill, Timothée actually admitted outright that ‘people found’ his old YouTube account ModdedController360.
The actor told Nate that he had made about $30 (£21) customising controllers for friends as a young teenager, until his parents made him stop because there was ‘spray paint all over the house’.
Just three videos are available to view on Timothée’s old account, all from 2010, when the Little Women star was 15 years old.
His first upload, from February 2010, shows his first custom-made, red and green ‘Christmas themed’ controller which he says will not be for sale.

Another video where Timothée is showing off hand-painted blue and silver controller sees the future world-famous actor tell his followers: ‘If you really want this, you can make offers below [in the comments section].
‘I doubt it, but whatever.’
He adds: ‘Shout out to Modern Warfare 2, best video game out right now!’
His final video sees Timothée showing off a newly-modded Xbox controller in a ‘red tiger’ design, which he says ‘looks nice, it looks sexy’.

The Willy Wonka star mentions this new design will be shipped off to online friend ‘Stud Muffins’.
The reveal that Timothée once held this somewhat nerdy, but entirely wholesome hobby has delighted, well, pretty much everyone.
Fantasy author Jeff Grubb said he ‘learned about this 30 seconds ago, and I am already obsessed’, while filmmaker Hazel Hayes said she was ‘living for the fact’ that the actor was now likely raking in advert money from Youtube as everyone flocked to watch his old clips.
She added: ‘Good for you Timmy.’

Timothée’s account had around 14,000 subscribers when Vice released their investigation yesterday, and already the number has shot up to over 22,000.
You know, just on the off chance the award-winning actor takes a break from starring in blockbuster movies and decides to spray paint a few Xbox 360 controllers again.
