Two 13-year-old boys shot in Staffordshire as the teenagers are rushed to hospital

TWO 13-year-old schoolboys have been shot in Staffordshire – as frantic paramedics rush them to hospital for emergency treatment.

The youngsters were shot near to a set of garages in Norton, Stoke-on-Trent, just after 10pm last night.

One boy was taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital, while the other is receiving treatment at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Miraculously, neither boy’s injuries are life-threatening or life-changing.

Police have cordoned off the scene as they launch a forensic investigation to establish what happened.

Detective Inspector Pete Goodwin, from CID, said: “Detectives are working tirelessly to establish exactly what happened and who is responsible.


“I’m appealing for anyone with information or who saw what happened to get in touch with us as soon as possible, as they may have vital information.

“If you live in the area please check your CCTV and if you were driving in that area at around 10pm last night please check your dashcam footage.

“Extra officers will be in the area to offer reassurance.”
