You know it was a trip. I think it was around the last Olympics I remembered hearing the announcers going, dropping in, the oldest competitor, Shaun White.
Certainly, it is not the best feeling to be called old but Shaun seems to take it positively. Considering that he respects all his competitors and seeks inspiration from them, it only makes him better.

Therefore, expressing himself further he said, “Forever, I’ve been the youngest competitor, that was a big change. I kind of wear it proudly now. You got amazing athletes like Tom Brady that are getting into, their older years and still holding it down. I’m feeling good about it.”

“I like the inspiration from the others and it’s so exciting for me. I was kind of tripping out of the other day just thinking about you know, there’s a magic moment when you make the team, you’re like, wow, I get to be an Olympian again. Just to go is so incredible. One step at a time. Going to try to make the team and then set sights on China.”
For Shaun, age is perhaps just a number. Even though a week back he met with an accident during training and got hurt on the lip, he chose to not give up. Now, he surely is confident and thrilled to give an electric performance at the Winter Games, starting on 4th February.
