WATCH: Bronny James Recreates His Father LeBron James’ Iconic Chalk Toss

Some of the most iconic players of the NBA have their signature moves which are associated with their memories forever. Along with his legendary on-court skills, LeBron James also has an iconic pre-game routine. Notably, he does his chalk toss before every single game. Now, it seems like his son, Bronny, is also following the routine.

Currently playing for Sierra Canyon, Bronny has made his name as a basketball prodigy. He’s surely been blessed in basketball skills, being the son of one of the greatest to ever do it.

At just 17, Bronny stands at 6 foot 3 inches and is a four-star recruit. Recently, during Sierra Canyon’s photoshoot, he was caught doing LeBron’s famous chalk toss.

Bronny follows LeBron James in chalk toss routine

Bronny James joined Sierra Canyon back in 2019. He even got to play alongside Dwyane Wade’s son, Zaire Wade, who recently got picked up for NBA’s G league. Since joining, Bronny has played 7 games for Sierra Canyon. He is putting up 6.3 points per game.

Recently, Sierra Canyon held a photoshoot for the basketball team. When Bronny was on the platform, he was caught doing the LeBron James chalk toss. This does come as a surprise because Bronny has tried to stay away from the shadow of LeBron James. He even changed his name from LeBron James Jr. to Bronny for the purpose. James himself admitted that he regrets giving Bronny his name. However, it is impossible to go unnoticed when your father is one of the greatest to play the game and such requests are bound to come up.

Coming to the chalk toss, just how long has LeBron James been doing it? The truth is that James has been doing the chalk toss ever since his rookie year in 2003. He would do the chalk toss to keep his hands dry, but it gained so much attention that it evolved into his pregame ritual over the years. Now, it is almost impossible to imagine LeBron get into the game without actually doing the chalk toss.
