Coleen and Wayne Rooney treated their sons to quite the evening out as they headed to Salt Bae’s infamous Nusr-Et restaurant.

The couple posed for pictures with the internet sensation – real name Nusret Gökçe – at the restaurant that has quickly become known for charging hundreds for a gold-coated steak.

Nusret shared a photo of the whole family, including Wayne and Coleen’s sons Kai, Klay, Kit and Cass, on Instagram, writing: ‘Great family’ before posing for a snap with Wayne.

‘My brother,’ he captioned it.

Despite some questioning if the food is really worth so much money, the former footballer was clearly impressed with his visit, thanking the star for the ‘great food and experience’.

Nusret rose to fame as Salt Bae after a video of him delicately sprinkling salt over a steak went viral.

It’s safe to say he’s not done too badly out of it, opening more than 15 Nusr-Et Steakhouses worldwide.

The newest restaurant, which recently opened in Knightsbridge, has caught plenty of attention for its pearl-clutchingly high prices and extravagant menu.

Gemma Collins recently shared her experience at the restaurant and fans didn’t quite know what to make of it.

Sharing a video on Instagram, she hailed the cook’s ‘presence’ as she watched him cut the meat.

Clearly having a blast, she wrote alongside the clip: ‘This guy… the most amazing energy… he’s presence is electric and fun and defo one to go visit (sic)’

In the video itself, she told him to ‘spice it up for the GC’ and seemed impressed as she shouted: ‘Wow! 24 carat gold! Whoa!’

A recent photo of a bill from Salt Bae’s restaurant revealed the eye-watering prices.

According to the photo, a giant Tomahawk steak costs £630, a golden burger is £100, burrata is £25 a pop and an onion flower comes to £18.

But it’s not just food that comes at a price – soft drinks will also make a dent in a customer’s bank account.

The receipt shows two Diet Cokes coming in at £18 and a Red Bull priced at £11. What’s more, a virgin mojito costs £11 – more than the price of the cocktail with alcohol in most bars.

We might stick with a trusty takeaway for now.
