‘Y’all Suck’: Twitter Reacts as Los Angeles Lakers Surprisingly Fall to OKC Thunder Without LeBron James

The Lakers go back to backs as their schedule sees them face OKC. After a tough fought win over the Spurs, the Laker nation had no break in store. However, that did not seem to affect them because they started off hot against the Oklahoma City Thunder. But things took a turn when OKC made a comeback in the third quarter. They evaded some serious danger after the Lakers air balled two potential game tying threes in a row.

The Lakers began the first serious purpose. They outscored the Thunder 41-19 and took a commanding lead early in the game. However, OKC gave it right back in the third quarter by scoring 18 points more than the Lakers and taking the advantage going into the fourth quarter.

Shai Gilgeous Alexander should be an All Star this season.

The negligence of his play last year still irks me. He SHOULD be an All Star now.

In three Thunder home games, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been better than or at worst equal to Steph Curry, Russell Westbrook, Anthony Davis and Joel Embiid.

Welcome to the Lakers Russ, we don’t care bout all them triple doubles if you don’t get the W.

— El Padrino (@TheMJB) October 28, 2021

Shai Gilgeous Alexander continued his run from the game against the Warriors. His 17 point third quarter put OKC in the driving seat in their 123-115 win. He put up 27 points, 5 assists and 9 rebounds. Josh Giddey came up big with his double double with 18 p0ints and 10 assists also making the game winning play. Bazley also played his part on both ends, scoring 20 points with 4 steals. OKC’s late game defense had the Lakers in panic as they couldn’t make any plays. The home crowd did not disappoint either, as the support stayed in all night long.

For the Lakers, Anthony Davis was the star yet again. He tallied 30 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists while shooting. Russell Westbrook recorded his first triple double for the Laker with 20 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists. However, late game turnovers hurt the Lakers. Off the bench, Avery Bradley had an efficient game scoring 13 points. All OKC starters recorded double digit points while only three Lakers starters could rack up over 10.
