Dillian Whyte Reveals Why He’s a Bigger Threat to Tyson Fury Than Deontay Wilder
Dillian Whyte, for a long time now, has stayed assertive about fighting his compatriot, Tyson Fury. Earlier this year, he beat Alexander Povetkin to capture the WBC interim heavyweight title. With that, Whyte set himself on top for a title shot against Tyson Fury. However, ‘The Gypsy King’ got lined up to face Deontay Wilder in a prolific trilogy.
That said, Whyte’s aspiration to get his hands on Fury got pushed ahead. Also, ‘The Body Snatcher’ was aligned to face Otto Wallin for his interim title defense. However, as the Brit pulled out of the fight due to an injury, the Wallin vs Whyte fight seems unlikely in the near future.
As a result, the only viable fight for Whyte is against Tyson Fury. Recently, Whyte, in a chat with Matchroom Boxing, shed some light on fighting Tyson Fury and revealed why he’s a threat to his compatriot.

“One hundred percent because Wilder is one of the fighter, he just looks as right-handed. He doesn’t know the jab. There’s not a rock up and down. He doesn’t throw punches at the middle. He doesn’t use his range, you know.”
“I can fight in close-in and long-range, I can fight mid-range, and Fury’s worried about a lot more from me than he has to do with Wilder,” said Whyte.
‘The Body Snatcher’ is pretty optimistic about beating the best heavyweight on the planet, Tyson Fury. He is extremely eager to get his hands on the ultimate title, thus fulfilling his long-time aspiration.

Both of them are hard hitters and can finish their opponents. That said, a fight between these might get end in a blink of an eye. As things stand right now, this is the fight to make, as there are no roadblocks in sight that could play spoilsport.
It will be interesting to see if both the fighters’ teams get in touch to stage this contest at the earliest.
