Lisa Snowdon has opened up about her agonising battle with coronavirus, revealing that she ‘had a panic attack and considered going to hospital’.

The 49-year-old has been bed bound over recent days with her partner George Smart looking after her during her recovery.

The model and presenter, who is double jabbed and already contracted the virus once before at the beginning of the pandemic, spoke to This Morning’s Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary.

When asked if she considered going to hospital during her period of self-isolation, Lisa said: ‘There were a couple of nights… On Friday night my chest was so bad and my heart – I had a panic attack on top of that.

‘I was really scared and I considered it,’ Lisa added, revealing that her partner George was the perfect nurse during the height of her struggles.

She added: ‘On Sunday night as well, I had this head pain that was beyond excruciating. I couldn’t see and it was awful.’

‘I obviously didn’t want to go to hospital because I know there are people so much worse off than me, so that was going to be a last resort. But I did consider it.’

It’s not the first time Lisa has suffered with Covid-19.

Lisa previously revealed that she and her fiancé George were forced to self-isolate after both suffered from coronavirus symptoms back in March 2020.

The presenter revealed how the suspected virus began, telling her followers: ‘George started feeling ill on Friday evening, but you kind of have to work out your symptoms yourself. There’s a checklist of coronavirus symptoms but different people have different symptoms I’m finding.

‘George had a fever on Friday and luckily I had a Peppa Pig thermometer in the first aid kit that I bought years ago for the kids.

‘I took his temperature and it was raging high, really scary high, and I thought it was flu. He had a headache, he didn’t have a cough, he had a fever.

This Morning airs on weekdays at 10am on BBC iPlayer
