Tiger King’s Joe Exotic reaches out to ‘hero’ Cardi B to help him break free from prison – and she’s responded

Tiger King star Joe Exotic was sentenced to 22 years for a murder-for-hire plot to kill Carole Baskin but he’s now called upon rapper Cardi B to help him break free from jail, because of course.

Joe was convicted for plotting to get his rival Carole murdered in 2019, which led to him being sentenced the following year.

He’s always contested his innocence and spent much of 2020 pleading with former commander-in-chief Donald Trump to get a presidential pardon. Sadly for Joe, Trump left the White House kicking and screaming without freeing the zookeeper first.

But ahead of the Tiger King sequel, he’s looked elsewhere to find a get out of jail card, turning to Cardi B.

From the unverified account, Joe tweeted the American rapper last week and included a handwritten note, asking her to be his ‘hero’.

The note attached read: ‘When you see the truth in Tiger King 2, I need you to rally everyone together to be my voice of freedom. Be my hero, girl.’

Cardi seemed a bit taken aback by the tweet and didn’t see it till some days later, asking: ‘Wait is this the real tiger king?’

Joe’s lawyer John M. Phillips weighed in to prove the request from the Netflix star was real and said: ‘I represent Joe. He heard about your message from prison. I’d love to put you two together on a phone call next week.’

Although this may seem like a very random act from Joe, followers of the Bodak Yellow rapper will remember how obsessed she became with the series last year.

At the time, she tweeted: ‘They did Joe so dirty over and over again… who you think is more wrong? Narcissist Joe? Or Greedy Carol? And why?’

‘Bout to start a GoFundMe account for Joe. He shall be free.’

So it doesn’t seem like the worst shout from Joe to look to Cardi for his potential plight at freedom…

The streaming giant wrote: ‘The global hit Tiger King, which attracted 64 million households in the first four weeks after its March 2020 premiere, will return to Netflix for more madness and mayhem.’

Tiger King season 2 lands on Netflix on November 17.
