Analyst Makes Bold Claim About Tom Brady After Aaron Rodgers’ Performance Against Arizona

Tom Brady is surely having a blast this season but is he as good as Aaron Rodgers, who recently defeated the only undefeated team of the season, the Arizona Cardinals, on Thursday night, without the likes of his top three receivers?

ESPN analyst Myron Medcalf believes that the answer to this highly debated question is NO. Medcalf is under the impression that Tom Brady “couldn’t go down to Arizona without his top three receivers and beat the No. 1 team in the NFL.”

Tom Brady couldn’t go down to Arizona without his top three receivers and beat the No. 1 team in the NFL. Aaron Rodgers is the greatest to ever play that position.

Tom Brady vs. Aaron Rodgers

There is a price to pay for being considered the GOAT of the NFL with seven Super Bowl rings on his fingers. However, football is a team sport and no individual player can affect the outcomes of a match single-handedly unless it is Aaron Rodgers. And with that paradox established, the answer to this question has multiple folds.

Rodgers has proved that he is a brilliant passer from time and time again and that he can thrive in a team that lacks in many aspects. And that is something that makes him more special. Many might argue that if Aaron Rodgers could ever play with a team complete by all means, he may just shower Super Bowl titles on that franchise.

On the other hand, Tom Brady’s achievements can not be overlooked at all costs. Winning is a habit, and Tom Brady has mastered it over the years with or without Belichick. Furthermore, the Brady effect is so drastic that it is so easily noticeable.

Brady as a winner; Rodgers as a passer

Ever since departing the Belichick’s Patriots, the Pats have kept a losing vibe around and even failed to make the playoffs last year. However, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are on an uptrend ever since signing Brady, and winning their first Super Bowl in 16 seasons was a sign that there is something about this QB that makes him a GOAT.

Evidently, they are two very different quarterbacks in the league and comparing them wouldn’t do justice to their respective skills at all. Some are hardly ever proven by stats. And with that being said, it depends from person to person on who can be termed as a ‘better’ QB among the two.
