Carolina Panthers Ready to Make Crazy Deal for Deshaun Watson
Carolina Panthers have plummeted from a 3-0 unbeaten haul down to a 3-4 stance and a four-game losing streak. And with that David Tepper, the Panthers owner feels the need for acquiring former Pro Bowl quarterback Deshaun Watson from a trade with Houston Texans.
With four back-to-back downgraded performances by the Panthers QB Sam Darnold, the franchise is in a desperate state to trade in Deshaun Watson in exchange for a crazy deal that no other team in the NFL has made to the Texans so far.

The Texans, however, are not interested in negotiating the asking price of the QB, which is why the Panthers and the Dolphins are yet in a dubious state. However, as the transfer deadline comes closer, this might just be the perfect opportunity for the Texans to drop off their healthy scratch finally off their roster.
The Panthers, on the other hand, are preparing to sign the QB anxiously ahead of the deadline on Tuesday. They are willing to part with three high picks and All-Pro running back Christian McCaffrey in order to acquire Deshaun Watson.

However, no deal is yet considered imminent.

Houston Texans yet to strike a deal
However, both the sides are yet to strike a deal as the Texans are eying on young and talented defensive standouts of the Panthers who are still in their rookie contracts and much cheaper than McCaffrey. And with that being said, it seems that Watson is more likely to play for the Panthers than any other team.
“The only reason that he doesn’t have Watson already is that the price is too high,” said one source with direct knowledge of the situation. “That’s it. He’s wanted him for a long time. And there is still a lot of time between now and Tuesday. His patience is wearing thin.”
The Panthers have plenty of young talents and feet, which may draw the attention of the Texans. And since Panthers executive Steven Drummond is very close with his Texans counterpart Jack Easterby, the Panthers look like the only top contender in this trading race.
