Dan Walker rocked a lobster costume during Strictly Come Dancing’s Halloween special – and fans were right in thinking they’d seen something very similar before.
The 44-year-old BBC broadcaster and partner Nadia Bychkova performed the jive on Saturday night’s show to Rock Lobster by The B-52s, and given the song’s title, it was only right for the pair to be dressed as full-sized lobsters.
However, after watching their performance, viewers were reminded of a particular Radio 1 DJ, who channeled a similar routine.
In series 14 of the hit show, Scott and partner Joanne Clifton performed a samba dressed as Sebastian the crab from the Disney film, The Little Mermaid.
Viewers took to Twitter to highlight the comparison between both of their outfits.
One user said: ‘Wasn’t Scott Mills enough? Why do we need to endure another lobster routine? Poor Dan. Poor poor Dan.’

Teasing their routine would be ‘something very, very different, the 32-year-old laughed: ‘It’s a jive. But wait for it… you know it’s a very special week on Strictly so we have to dress up.
‘So a jive, and both of us… we’re lobsters. Can you imagine two lobsters jiving on the Strictly floor?’

The competition is heating up on BBC One, as stars including Rose Ayling-Ellis, AJ Odudu and Adam Peaty hope they’ll do enough to impress the public and the judges to make it through to week seven.
The latest episode marks the highly-anticipated return of Judi Love, who was forced to miss last week’s show after testing positive for Covid-19.
